NEW DELHI: Micro-blogging site Twitter on Saturday informed the Delhi high court that it is “in the final stages of appointing a resident grievance officer.”
The social networking site also added that the interim resident grievance officer withdrew his candidature on June 21.
Earlier, the high court had asked Twitter to comply with the new Information Technology (IT) rules for digital media if they have not been stayed.
The new IT rules took effect from February 25 this year and the Centre had given three months to every social media intermediary, including Twitter, to comply with them.
The three-month period got over on May 25 but no such officer was appointed by the company.
