NEW DELHI: In yet another incident of snag in airline, smoke was reportedly detected in the cabin of an IndiGo flight on July 5.
The IndiGo Airbus A320 (VT-IJY) was operating as 6E-905 from Raipur to Indore.
All the passengers were able to disembark from the aircraft safely, news agency PTI reported.
According to reports, smoke was detected from the cabin during taxi after landing.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has sought details from the airline regarding the incident.
The incident came to light hours after the aviation regulator issued a show-cause notice to SpiceJet following eight technical malfunction incidents involving the airline’s planes in the last 18 days.

Three such instances were reported on Tuesday itself. While a SpiceJet flight from Delhi to Dubai had a suspected fuel leak and landed safely in Karachi, the other flight from Kandla to Mumbai suffered a crack on the outer windshield of the plane when the turboprop was cruising at 23,000ft.
The third incident involved a SpiceJet cargo plane — scheduled to operate from Kolkata to Chongqing in China — which returned to Kolkata due to unserviceable weather radar.

Further, a Vistara Airbus A320 also developed a snag in its engine after landing at Delhi airport on Tuesday. The flight had to be towed away to the parking lot.
A Vistara spokesperson said: “After landing in Delhi, while taxing to the parking bay, our flight UK122 (BKK-DEL) had a minor electrical malfunction on July 5, 2022. Keeping passenger safety and comfort in mind the crew elected to tow the aircraft to the bay.”
The DGCA is probing this incident as well.
