The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is probing this case. “Indigo aircraft VT-ITJ was parked on stand number 201 of Delhi Airport’s terminal 2. It was to operate as 6E-2022 to Patna. A GoFirst Ground Maruti, Swift Dezire vehicle came close to this aircraft and stopped under the nose area of the aircraft. There was no damage to the aircraft or injury to any person,” said a DGCA official.

The driver was subjected to breath analyser test for consumption of alcohol and found to be negative (sober). The aircraft departed as per schedule departure time.
A video of this case shows shocked IndiGo ground staff near the aircraft wondering how the car whizzed past them.
“We could have been hit. The driver was sleepy,” they can be heard saying.
It is an open secret that ground staff at airport technical areas like vehicle drivers have to put in long hours.
GoFirst sources said “luckily, the car did not even touch the aircraft. No one was injured and the IndiGo aircraft was not damaged.”
