Housing demand, supply revive in Apr-June quarter - Times of India

NEW DELHI: The housing demand and supply in 13 cities in the country witnessed a revival in the April-June quarter of 2022. Magicbricks’s latest PropIndex Report for the quarter said the number of online searches and listings has risen considerably.
In April-June 2022, pan-India residential searches rose 16. 9% from the previous quarter and 27. 7% against the same period last year, and listings grew 2. 9% QoQ and 16. 2% YoY. The report said that the growth reflected a promising comeback from the pandemic-induced slowdown and the overall economic recovery across sectors.
Mapping trends in 13 cities across the country, the report showed demand in online searches in Q2 grew in Delhi by 47. 2%, Ahmedabad by 21. 4%, Kolkata 21. 2%, Noida 20. 6%, Bengaluru 18. 8%, and Mumbai by 16. 5%.
