NEW DELHI: Twitter India managing director Manish Maheshwari is all set to take up a new role as senior director, revenue strategy and operations at the company’s San Francisco office in the United States (US), news agency ANI reported on Friday.
Congratulating Maheshwari for his new role, vice president of Twitter Japan took to twitter to thank his Indian counterpart for his services.

The announcement comes amid the ongoing faceoff between the Centre and social media companies on new information technology (IT) rules in India.
Two months ago, Maheshwari was issued multiple notices by the Ghaziabad police in relation to an assault video of an elderly man that surafced on the social media site and created an uproar.
After multiple hearings, Maheshwari was granted interim relief by the Karnataka high court, directing that no coercive action be taken against him.
